Professional Boundaries

Clear expectations for independent, evidence-based AI risk and readiness review work.

Last updated: 1 August 2026

What you can expect

Reviews are designed to support a real decision about an AI system. The work is independent, scoped and evidence-based. Findings distinguish what is documented, reported, observed, tested and still unverified. Material limitations and uncertainty are made visible rather than hidden behind a single confidence claim.

How reviews are bounded

Every conclusion is limited by the agreed question, system boundary, evidence available and state of the system at the time of review. A finding about one workflow, configuration or controlled test should not be treated as proof of behaviour in a different environment or after material system changes.

What a review does not replace

Unless expressly agreed in writing, an AI risk or readiness review is not a statutory audit, formal certification, legal opinion, regulatory approval, penetration test or unrestricted security assessment. It does not replace specialist legal, compliance, privacy, financial or cybersecurity advice where those disciplines are required.

Decision ownership

The review provides structured findings, risk interpretation, controllability analysis and decision support. The system owner remains responsible for deployment, operation, access, monitoring, acceptance of residual risk and any decision to increase scale or autonomy.

Engagement basis

Visiting this website or sending an initial email does not by itself create a consulting engagement. The decision question, scope, evidence access, deliverables, timing, confidentiality and responsibilities are agreed separately in writing before substantive work begins.

Website information

Public materials explain the review approach in general terms. They are not a conclusion about a specific organisation or system. Case materials identify their evidence basis and limitations so that readers can judge what the example does—and does not—support.
